"Sin Takes a Holiday" is a romantic comedy film released in 1930, directed by Paul L. Stein and starring Constance Bennett and Basil Rathbone. The movie is based on the play of the same name by Vina Delmar. Set in the glamorous world of high society, the film showcases witty dialogue, sophisticated humor, and a charming love story.

The story revolves around Sylvia Brenner (played by Constance Bennett), a beautiful but impoverished secretary working for a wealthy businessman named Gaylord Stanton (played by Kenneth MacKenna). Sylvia secretly harbors romantic feelings for her boss. Still, knowing that he is engaged to be married, she keeps her emotions hidden.

However, fate intervenes when Gaylord's fiancée, Grace Lawrence (played by Helen Vinson), suddenly leaves their engagement to marry another man. Seeing this as an opportunity, Sylvia decides to take matters into her own hands. She assumes a false identity as a wealthy socialite named "Sylvia Carroll" and heads off on a European vacation.
